https://centralcoastfoodweb.org/Our facilities provide shared space and equipment at low risk and low cost to seafood and farm businesses to process, package, and store their products. The first shared-use facility of its kind in the area, our ‘Yaquina Lab’ is making it economically viable to direct market agricultural and seafood products both in our community and PNW region. Interested food producers can sell through our online market where we take care of marketing, distribution and payment. As a member of the Yaquina Lab, you can rent our hourly-available equipment to process your own food, get one-on-one support getting the licensing and training you need to run a safe, direct-market or wholesale operation, access our conference room, and attend our partner events.
How it works:
1. Members must be operating as a registered business with insurance and appropriate licensing. Licensing needs vary depending on the business and we can help you with that process.
2. Apply on our website or through the Kitchen Door. Once the application form has been received and reviewed by our staff, we will reach out within 3-5 business days to discuss the next steps.
3. Schedule a tour on Wednesday and Thursday between 1pm and 3pm.
4. Sign membership documents and pay annual $65 membership fee.
5. Schedule your orientation and start booking time in our Food Corridor booking app.
We're unique because we offer seafood processing space for our coastal businesses, processing space for small-scale producers, offices, and event spaces. We work with your unique situation to get your small business the support, market opportunity, and space you need!
Note: Beyond the tools listed below we also have a large smoker, blast freezer, refrigerators, and an ice maker available onsite.
Our annual membership fee is $65. You do not need to be a member to sell on our monthly online fish and farm market. Our rooms and equipment are available for low-cost rent. Visit our website to see our pricing list and FAQs!
