Forage Kitchen is an incubator for food crafters and a home for anyone who loves to cook. With shared rental kitchen space, business support, promotional help, and access to local farmers, we make the business of starting a business just a little bit easier.
Our new space in Uptown Oakland has shared office space, a café where you can get lunch from Pals Take Away, and every First Friday we host BatchMade Market, giving you a chance to see and taste what’s cooking at Forage Kitchen.
On top of the standard rental, we’re offering Small Batch Co-Packing, a program to help take the burden of everyday production off the hands of our chefs. If you feel that your time is better spent talking to folks about your product, we can partner with you to help produce it in house.
We created this space not only as a kitchen, but as a real home for your food business. We’ve worked in a lot of shared kitchens throughout our food-making careers, and wanted to start one that had a real community of support, one that thrived on collaboration without the tension and backstabbing of so many kitchens. Forage Kitchen is that space, and we welcome everyone, from the newbie cook to the hardened veteran chef.
