Imagine Kitchen is a shared use kitchen, also referred to as a commissary, a ghost kitchen, a cloud kitchen, etc. The kitchen is rented out for an hourly rate based on the number of hours per month that it will be used by each individual food business. The types of food businesses we serve are bakers, caterers, packaged product makers, to-go concept restaurant startups, meal prep services, food trucks, etc.
When we were first looking for the property for our kitchen, we were very intentional to put it in a space that was not only safe at night for our 24 hour a day operations, but also to have it in an easily accessible retail location where our client’s could welcome their customers to come for tastings and curbside order pickups. It’s a chef’s kitchen using gas ovens and ranges which isn’t available at some other shared kitchens around town.
A service that has set our kitchen apart has come from Jef and Stephanie lending their creative skills in marketing and technology in order to help a number of our food business clients get on the map locally by developing their branding, websites and marketing collateral.
Hourly rates for shared use, with no more than 1 other food business, start at $21 per hour for a minimum of 8 hours a month. The hourly rate decreases for higher minimum number of hours per month (details on our website). We offer 3, 6, or 12 month agreements.
