https://jamessprunt.edu/workforce-development/commercial-kitchen/The purpose of James Sprunt Community College’s Eastern Carolina Food Ventures (JSCC ECFV) Kitchen is to allow aspiring food entrepreneurs the opportunity to start their own food business at a reasonable share rate. The Kitchen offers shared workspace, equipment, and business advice for small catering companies, pushcart vendors, food trucks, bakers, and specialty-food makers. Additionally, the focus of the kitchen is to create new small business in the community and to promote economic growth. The targeted service area includes, but is not limited to, the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, Pender, Duplin, Greene, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Sampson, and Wayne. Preference will be given to the counties in the target area.
Kitchen Use Fees: $175 per month which includes a dry and cold storage space, as well as 10 hours of kitchen use per month.
Push Carts and Mobile Food Units: $130 per month which includes dumping and filling of water, as well as a dry and cold storage area, dishwasher, three compartment sink use and 4 hours of kitchen use.
Individual Pricing:
Storage: $35 per month for dry storage
$25 per month for each shelving unit in cooler or freezer
Kitchen Use: $20 per hour, per kitchen
Door Code and Calendar Access Fee(one time): $10
