    Located at 216 Purdy Rd in Colborne, just 2 minutes south of exit 497 off Hwy 401, near the Big Apple.
    Ontario Agri-Food Venture Centre (OAFVC) is a not-for-profit shared-use food processing facility well-equipped to support the production of Consumer Packaged Goods. OAFVC’s trained production support workers swab food contact surfaces before processing to prove cleanliness, wet-wash rooms and equipment after every shift, and can be booked as hands-on help for prep, production, and packaging.
    5 Processing Rooms:
    - Production Kitchen features a liquid hot fill line great for filling into glass.
    - Fruit and Veg processing room temperature can be maintained as low as 4C to help preserve your cold chain.
    - Carbonated Beverage room offers small batch trials for 250-can runs with one-on-one consultation.
    - Ambient Production Room can be equipped with combi oven, dry scale filler, and vacuum sealer.
    - Packaging Room is available to handle sealed product as it is labeled, date coded, cased, and palletized for shipment.
    Services:
    OAFVC offers clients short- and long-term food-safe by-the-pallet storage for ingredients, packaging, and finished products in ambient, chilled, and frozen environments. Also available onsite: date coders, labelers, mid-batch pH testing, Nutritional Facts Table generation, ample parking, an on-grade loading door and sunken dock for larger deliveries.
    Businesses best suited to production at the OAFVC include those who have a proven production process and are looking for economic sustainability through shared “pay to play” services; and those seeking a way to continue scaling-up production while working out the details of moving into a built-to-purpose facility or partnering with a co-manufacturer.
    Requirements:
    Clients must complete orientation before accessing the kitchen, maintain product liability insurance and name OAFVC as additionally insured, maintain a valid safe food handling certificate, and disclose if you have or plan to obtain your SFCR license.

    Pricing

    Production Rooms are rented in 4hr and 7hr blocks with staff to match.
    Facility offers 2 shifts per day with staff completing full room washdown and equipment strip/sanitize/assembly between clients. No membership fees – pay for the services you use, when you use them.
